2012-13 Retiring List

It's always an exciting time when the Retiring Lists come out - while we are sad to be saying goodbye to lots of favourites, there are some great specials and of course you can't help but wonder what NEW GOODIES are coming to replace them!!  So on that note, here are the two retiring lists for this year:

Retiring Stamps

Retiring Accessories

The biggest loss for me this year is the Dies.  We are losing Two Tags, Scallop Envelope, Elegant Bird, Petite Pocket and the Fancy Favour Box; the latter has 25% off and will sell out fast, so add that to your list if you don't already have it.  You'll need extended cutting pads and an extended crease mat to use it too.

Lots of stampsets are reduced too, so have a good look and see what you can find.  French Foliage is there for 25% off the clear-mount set, which has been used a lot for that lovely ink splatter and the French script and poststamp.  I can't say I've used the leaves very much (though I've seen some great masculine cards created with them) but this was a worthwhile investment for me just for the other 3 images.  I was disappointed to see Artistic Etchings on the list too, given that I only bought it in March - that Eiffel Tower image is one of my favourites at the moment, I think I'll be hanging on to this one.  I'll be keeping Dinoroar, I Dig You, Aviary and well, quite a few more!

All of the Christmas stamps, bar one, are also retiring.  Again, there are a few I'll be holding on to for my personal use, like No Peeking and Christmas Lodge.  Keep an eye open for the new Holiday Catalogue coming in August for all new Christmas sets, plus a few returning favourites from last years Holiday Catty.

The traditional scrapbooking range is now gone, to be replaced with the This & That range, though I'm happy to say Stampin' Up! will continue to support scrapbookers with their superior papers and cardstock, but they have decided to move away from scrapbooking albums and page protectors.
Watercolouring pencils and crayons are now gone (and already sold out), the only things continuing are the Watercolour Paper and the Aqua Painters and Blender Pens - you can still do lovely watercolouring with these and the SU inkpads and markers.

The fabric line has also been discontinued and is listed with some great reductions.

Digital Content Discs are all leaving us too, with all future MDS content to be available as a digital download only.

And last but not least we are saying goodbye to 10 of our Colours, which are being replaced with new Colours, and therefore all of the Colour Families are having a change-up.  You'll see everything in the Colour Families (Brights, Subtles, Regals and Neutrals) on the retiring list, such as markers, inkpads, paper stacks, buttons etc, but rest assured that these will be returning in their new configurations and with new designs too in some cases.

But after all of that - there is plenty of gorgeous new stuff coming, you won't be disappointed.  They have to make room somehow for all the fabulous new stamps and accessories coming our way.  July 2nd is the release date for the new 2013-14 Annual Catalogue.
