"Joy" Banner Class

Don't you just love these banners? I've taken inspiration from the sample in the Holiday Catalogue.

We are going to be making them on Friday 11th October at 7pm in the New Lynn studio. Your flags can be decorated in blue and silver or the traditional red, green and gold.

In this class we will be using the Build A Banner Simply Created Kit. The kit includes the stensils as shown (3 backgrounds, 1 mask, 26 letters), 18 canvas banners (6 each of 3 designs, each 12.7x17.8cm), 2.7m of jute twine and 2x spritzers.

There are 2 options for this class.

Come and use all my supplies in the class, this will cost $20 - you'll get 5 banners, plus rosettes and snowflake ornaments and silver ribbon to decorate, plus use of my adhesives and a tutorial on making the banner.

Or

2) Pre-order this kit and have the stensils and leftover canvas banners to take home, and you'll get the class for half-price. Decorating and tutorial as above, but you get to keep the whole kit. Total cost = $55.

When RSVP'ing, please indicate either option 1 or 2.
Registration is required by Wednesday 2nd October so that I can order the supplies in time.

Pinterest

Hello!  Today I have "pinterested" my blog, syncronising it with my Pinterest account and adding the little Pin Me buttons onto my photos - so cool!  With this in mind, I aim to add a whole lot more photos in the very near future, but first I am working on a watermark for my photos to protect my pictures and make it easier to find my blog if you find me first on Pinterest, and to follow me on Pinterest if you find me here.

So go ahead, go and find me on Pinterest!!!  http://www.pinterest.com/tinykiwi/boards/

Get Festive

It seems too early to think about it yet, but its already time to start making Christmas plans.  Or at the very least, how you're going to decorate your home, make gorgeous handmade cards and gift packaging for your loved ones, and of course you'll need some new ornaments!

So with that in mind, I am just finalising the schedule for my Christmas Classes, which will run in October, November and December, giving you plenty of time to build your wishlists, have a play with my some of my products and order your own, and get busy creating your own fabulous projects.  For the first class, I've prepared these gorgeous GORGEOUS snowflake ornaments and matching notecards using the Festive Flurries bundle.

I love how Stampin' Up! have bundled the stampset and Framelits together for 15% savings.  I didn't think I needed snowflakes, since we have a summer Christmas here in New Zealand, but I had a chance to play with these last month and I decided that I NEEDED to have them, so I'm hoping to convert a few of you into buyers as well at my classes this year!

You will of course need to use the new Magnetic Platform for your Big Shot to hold the Framelits securely in place while you are cutting - no more post-it notes to prevent slipping!  The Magnetic Platform is now available for ordering again, after being on backorder for the last month or two!

And sticking with the theme, this months "Best Of" set is all about Christmas too.  Perfect timing with the release of the Holiday Catalogue, to give you another option for your Christmas stampsets.  I really love this one, its nice to see Dasher make a return (note, he is smaller than the original, and just to be tricky, he is also facing the other direction to what the artwork shows!) as well as the new ornament-shaped greeting, which co-ordinates with our new ornament punch.

Last but not least, we have the Butterfly bundle for you at 15% savings as well, for this month only.  For anyone who is wondering, the punch in this bundle is for the smaller of the butterflies in the stampset, and we do have a punch for the larger size as well (Elegant Butterfly #127526).
